As the daughter of an Air Force fighter pilot who retired as a general officer, Sheri Few grew up with a strong love for her country and a deep respect and passion for the need to defend our country's freedom. She was raised to honor conservative values prioritizing the protection of the unborn, the right to bear arms and a strict constructionist view of the U.S. Constitution.
The most important thing in Sheri's life is her relationship with Jesus Christ. She seeks the Holy Spirit's guidance in all of her decisions, and He directs her steps, and helps her to walk in wisdom, in peace and in love.
Working to advance conservative values as a member of the Kershaw County Republican Party for nearly 30 years, Sheri began as Founder and Chair of the Kershaw County Young Republicans in 1989 and later was elected KCGOP Chair, State Committeeman, and Treasurer. She also served as Founder and President of the Kershaw County Republican Women. On the state level, Sheri Few served as Commissioner to three SC Republican governors and was a candidate for State House and U.S. Congress. Sheri led the fight against the Common Core Standards in South Carolina, which motivated her run for State Superintendent of Education in 2014 where she narrowly missed the runoff in a nine-candidate race receiving 55,000 Republican votes.
Sheri Few is the Founder and President of United Parents Involved in Education (USPIE) whose mission is to close the U.S. Department of Education and end all federal education mandates, thereby restoring parental and local control of education. In a two-year USPIE project, Sheri served as Executive Producer for the film documentary Truth & Lies in American Education, which was released in April 2022.
As a national spokesperson on education policy, Sheri Few has been featured on Fox News, Newsmax, CBN, Lindell TV, Breitbart, Townhall.com, Western Journal, American Thinker and The Washington Times. She is also featured on NPR and Christian and conservative talk radio stations, and podcasts across the country.
As small business owners, Sheri and her husband Marty have lived in Kershaw County for more than 40 years where they raised their four sons, and now enjoy their grandchildren, and feel blessed to be able to care for elderly parents.
